Licence Condition
Background Discharges from EPA Discharge Point 1 on 22 and 29 December 2020, and findings summarised in the Forest Road Waste Management Facility Site Masterplan (Talis, 2020) have identified that surface water management and leachate collection systems at the premises are under capacity.
Objective By no later than 31st December 2025, the licensee must construct and make operational, the Erosion and Sediment Control Plan outlined in the Soil and Water Management Plan - Forest Road Landfill (4264-1009), completed through GeoLINK Consulting Pty Ltd and issued September 2022 (DOC22/1007453-1). These works include, but are not limited to: Stabilise western void with soil binder application. Re-vegetate the exposed batter in southern portion. Install diversion structures (DD-01 and DD-02). Install catch drains (CD-01 and CD-02) for site water collection. Undertake expansion works for Dam-03 including spillway and inlet structures. Install spillway and inlet structures for both Dam-01 and Dam-02. Install end of day controls and roll-over bunds including contour banks for every 80m of exposed slope where possible. Progressive rehabilitation to be implemented where-ever possible. Completed works areas to be stabilised as soon as practicable by placing topsoil and stabilising by spraying bonded fibre matrix or suitable alternative seeding combined with temporary stabilisation.
By no later than 5pm on 30 January 2026, the licensee must submit a written report to info@epa.nsw.gov.au confirming the completion of all actions required by Condition U1.2.
